The data and analytics market and related technologies are rapidly changing.  Our clients and prospects are venturing into areas that are relatively unknown to them, including digital transformation, cloud migration, AI/ML and more.  Our objective is to help them to be successful in their journey and to mature in their data and analytics capabilities across the entire organization. 

The Data Governance and Innovation Change Manager is responsible for guiding our clients and developing, implementing, and maintaining the organization's data governance framework and strategies. This role will drive the adoption of data governance policies, standards, and processes across the enterprise, while also leading organizational change initiatives to foster a growing and maturing data-driven culture in the face of significant market and technological changes.


Key Responsibilities

Data Governance Advisory:
    • Develop and implement enterprise-wide data governance frameworks, policies, and standards.
    • Provide guidance on data governance best practices, including data quality, metadata management, and data stewardship.
    • Assess clients' data governance maturity levels and recommend strategies for improvement.
Capability Development:
    • Design and deliver training programs to build data literacy and data governance competencies across client organizations.
    • Foster a data-driven culture and promote the adoption of data governance principles and processes.
    • Develop educational materials and knowledge-sharing platforms for continuous learning.
Organizational Transformation:
    • Collaborate with clients to define data governance transformation roadmaps aligned with business objectives.
    • Facilitate organizational change management initiatives to support data governance adoption.
    • Establish data governance operating models, roles, and responsibilities within client organizations.
Project Delivery:
    • Lead data governance implementation projects, ensuring alignment with industry standards and regulatory compliance.
    • Manage cross-functional teams of data stewards, data owners, and subject matter experts.
    • Monitor and report on data governance metrics, risks, and issues.
Technology Advisory:
    • Provide recommendations on data governance tools, platforms, and technologies.
    • Assess clients' data management infrastructure and advise on solutions for data quality, metadata management, and data lineage.
    • Stay updated on emerging data governance technologies and industry trends.
Strategic Partnerships:
    • Build relationships with data governance software vendors and service providers.
    • Collaborate with partners to develop joint offerings and industry-specific data governance solutions.
    • Leverage partner ecosystems to deliver comprehensive data governance services.
Thought Leadership:
    • Contribute to the advancement of data governance knowledge through research, publications, and industry events.
    • Represent the organization as a subject matter expert in data governance.
    • Engage with data governance communities and industry associations.

Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Analytics or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in data governance, data management, or related roles.
  • Proven experience in developing and implementing data governance frameworks, policies, and standards.
  • Strong understanding of data governance principles, best practices, and methodologies (e.g., DAMA, DGIQ).
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Understanding of relevant data privacy and regulatory compliance requirements (e.g., GDPR, CCPA).

Preferred Qualifications
 
  • Participation in the implementation of complex data and analytics solutions for Government or Commercial clients in Pharma, Biotech, CPG, Retail or Manufacturing industries.
  • Knowledge of innovative data management technologies, tools, and processes (e.g., data quality, metadata management, data lineage).
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Strong client and partner networks.
